In this project, we were to make stamps and packaging for a specific event, person, or monument. I chose to make my stamps on the sculpture “Cloud Gate” in Chicago, IL. Cloud Gate is one of the main attractions in Chicago mainly for its size and large size. In doing research, I found that the sculptor Sir Anish Kapoor was inspired by liquid mercury which I also took inspiration from. I wanted to portray that same feeling the sculpture gives in-person through reflections and distortions.
